The Story: The Fall of Israel

Kevin Austin | June 16, 2024

As go the kings, so go the people. Israel had king after king that did evil in the sight of the Lord. It seemed like the only thing they excelled in was being more evil than their predecessor. What we are about to see is that God is not powerless in the face of evil and that God disciplines those He loves. Make no mistake about it, even though Israel rejected God, God still loved Israel. At the same time, God would let them experience what life looked like on their own. For Israel, this meant falling preying to the Assyrians. It wasn’t pretty. It was a hard and painful season. But God was still at work seeking to win back the hearts of His people.
